3. Answer any one of the following questions in about 40 to 60 words.       2

(a) In the human being, lungs are for respiration, glands for secretion, liver for synthesis and blood for distribution of substances. Name the counterparts in the cell which are the cell organelles responsible for the same functions. (See lesson 21)

(b) Construct a food chain explaining flow of energy and nutrients in an ecosystem. (See lesson 29)

Observe from above. You can make out that organisms form a chain of ‘eating’ and ‘being eaten’. In the fig. you can see that small fish is feeding on phytoplanktons which in turn is being eaten by a bigger fish. This constitutes the food chain. A simple food chain basically consists of producers, herbivores and carnivores. Just like the pond, a simple food chain in a terrestrial ecosystem links the trees and shrubs (producers), the giraffes (herbivores that eat trees and shrubs) and the lions (carnivores that eat the herbivores). Each link in this chain is food for the next level and is said to be at a particular trophic level (trophos means feeding). In the example, trees and shrubs are the producers and occupy trophic level I, giraffe comes at trophic level II, while lion occupies the third trophic level. As food provides energy, food chain may be defined as “succession of organisms in an ecological community that constitutes a passing on of food energy from one organism to another as each consumes a lower member and in turn is preyed upon by a higher member of the food chain.”

4. Answer any one of the following questions in about 100 to 150 words.     4

(a) Mass of a body is 25 kg. What is its weight in newton on earth? The body is carried to a planet whose mass is two times the mass of earth and radius is half that of earth. What will be the mass and weight of the body on the planet? (Take the value of a g on earth as 10 m s-2). (See lesson )

Ans: Acceleration due to gravity of earth, g= 9.8 m/s2

Weight of the body with mass 25 kg on earth will be = m*g = 25* 10m/s2 =250 N

On planet whose mass is twice as Earth and radius is half of earth,

Weight of planet = 2me

Radius of planet = re/2

So, weight of the body on planet = 250x2 = 500N and mass will be 25x2 = 50kg

They have many nuclei towards the periphery

Location:- It is found in Biceps of upper arm.

3) CARDIAC MUSCLE:

Cardiac muscle is also called as Heart muscle or involuntary muscle.

They are cylindrical-shaped.

It has one to two nuclei towards the centre.

It is branched.

Location:- It is found in heart.

(b) Take some magnets of different shapes, such as bar magnets, house shoe magnets and magnet. Keep one magnet, say a bar magnet under a thin glass sheet. Sprinkle some iron fillings on the glass sheet while tapping it continuously. Observe the pattern in which iron fillings align themselves. Do you find a definite pattern in the alignment of iron fillings? Take a photograph of this pattern with your mobile phone or draw about 10 – 12 lines show the pattern on a sheet of paper. Now repeat this experiment by using a horse shoe magnet and disc magnet the following question.

1.निम्नलिखित में से किसी एक प्रश्न का उत्तर लगभग 40 - 60 शब्दों में दीजिए।

(a) साथ में दिये गए चित्र में बिन्दु O पर जनित तरंग की 0.0 बाद की स्थिति का विस्थापन स्थिति आरेख निम्नलिखित को परिकलित कीजिए ।

(i) तरंग का आयाम (ii) तरंग दैर्ध्य - (iii) तरंग की आवृत्ति (iv) तरंग का वेग

(b) आप विभिन्न मानों के प्रतिरोध पाने के लिए विभिन्न तरीकों में प्रतिरोध जोड़ सकते हैं आपको प्रत्येक! ओहम के लिए 3 प्रतिरोधक दिए गए हैं। विभिन्न संयोजनों को दिखाते हुए आरेख बनाइये। साथ ही प्रत्येक संयोजन के समतुल्य प्रतिरोधक को परिकलित भी कीजिए!

2. निम्नलिखित में से किसी एक प्रश्न का उत्तर लगभग 40-60 शब्दों में दीजिए।

(a) 40°C की 1000 ग्राम बर्फ को 100C की भाप में रूपांतरित करने के लिए आवश्यक ऊष्मा का परिकलन कीजिए। बर्फ के गलन की गुप्त ऊष्मा 335J/g, यदि दिया गया है जल के वाष्पीकरण की गुप्त ऊष्मा 2260=J/g, बर्फ की विशिष्ट ऊष्मा धारिता = 2.1 J/gx°C जल की विशिष्ट ऊष्मा धारिता = 4.2J/gx°C

(b) हाइड्रोजन और ऑक्सीजन द्रव्यमान के अनुसार 1:8 के अनुपात में मिलकर पानी बनाते हैं। 3 ग्राम हाइड्रोजन गैस के साथ पूरी तरह से प्रतिक्रिया करने के लिए ऑक्सीजन गैस के कितने द्रव्यमान की आवश्यकता होगी ?

3. निम्नलिखित में से किसी एक प्रश्न का उत्तर लगभग 40-60 शब्दों में दीजिए।

(a) पादप कोशिका का नामांकित चित्र बनाइए । पादप कोशिका और जन्तु कोशिका के बीच किन्हीं तीन अंतरों को प्रस्तुत कीजिए ।

(b) मलेरिया के रोग कारक का नाम लिखिए और संक्रमण विधि का वर्णन कीजिये । इस रोग के क्या लक्षण हैं ? मलेरिया के संक्रमण की रोकथाम के लिए कोई चार उपाय लिखिए ।

4.निम्नलिखित में से किसी एक प्रश्न का उत्तर लगभग 100 -150 शब्दों में दीजिए।

(a) किसी गतिमान पिंड की विभिन्न समय पर स्थिति को नीचे सूचीबद्ध किया गया है: पिंड की गति का स्थिति समय ग्राफ बनाईए यह किस प्रकार की गति निरूपित करता है। इसकी गति का वर्णन तीन विशिष्ट लक्षणों के आंकिक मान बताते हुए कीजिए !

(b) निम्नलिखित आरेख एक रासायनिक प्रतिक्रिया प्रदर्शित करता है। ध्यान से देखें और निम्नलिखित प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए (i) होने वाली रासायनिक प्रतिक्रिया के प्रकार को पहचानें और इसे परिभाषित कीजिए। नमक का रंग कैसे बदलेगा ? (ii) होने वाली अभिक्रिया का रासायनिक समीकरण लिखिए। प्रत्युष ने एक स्पेटुला में सल्फर पाउडर लिया और उसे गर्म किया। उसने चित्र में दर्शाए अनुसार एक परखनली को प्रविष्ट करके उत्पन्न गैस को एकल किया !

5 निम्नलिखित में से किसी एक प्रश्न का उत्तर लगभग 100 - 150 शब्दों में लिखिए।

(a) (i) अवतल (ii) उत्तल लेंस से प्रतिबिंब निर्माण दर्शाते हुए किरण आरेख बनाइए । यदि बिम्ब को फोकस और प्रकाशिक केंद्र के बीच रखा जाता है तो ! दोनों प्रकरणों में बने प्रतिबिंबों के अभिलक्षणों का वर्णन कीजिए ।

(b) नीचे कुछ जानवरों के नाम दिए गए हैं। दो जानवरों की पहचान करें जिनमें से प्रत्येक दिखा रहा है। उनमें से प्रत्येक के संघ/ वर्ग का नाम भी दीजिए,

(शार्क, केचुआ, सांप, जेली फिश, टेपवर्म, स्टारफिश) (i) रेडियल समरूपता (ii) शल्कों से ढका हुआ शरीर (iii) जीवन का परजीवी तरीका

6.नीचे दी गई परियोजनाओं में से कोई एक परियोजना तैयार कीजिए:

(a) निम्नलिखित का उत्तर दीजिए-

(1) एक आदमी सुनार बनकर घर-घर जाता था। उसने पुराने और फीके सोने के गहनों की चमक वापस लाने का वादा किया। एक भोली महिला ने उसे सोने की चूड़ियों का एक सेट दिया, जिसे उसने एक विशेष घोल में डुबोया। चूड़ियाँ नई सी चमक रही थीं लेकिन उनका वजन एकदम कम हो गया था। महिला परेशान थी लेकिन एक निरर्थक बहस के बाद उस आदमी ने जल्दबाजी फिर से किया। क्या आप जासूस की भूमिका निभाकर यह पता लगा सकते हैं कि उसने किस विशेष घोल का उपयोग किया होगा ?

(i) सोना एक बहुत ही कीमती धातु है। शुद्ध सोना बहुत नरम होता है इसलिए यह आभूषण बनाने के लिए उपयुक्त नहीं होता है। इसे कठोर बनाने के लिए इसमें चांदी या तांबे की मिश्र धातु मिलाई जाती है। लेकिन कभी-कभी जौहरी ज्यादा मुनाफा कमाने के लिए सोने में बड़ी मात्रा में तांबा और चांदी मिला देते हैं।

(a) सोने के आभूषण खरीदते समय आपको क्या सावधानियां बरतनी चाहिए?

(b) सरकार हॉल मार्क्स आभूषण खरीदने पर जोर क्यों देती है?

2) क्षरण एक गंभीर समस्या है। क्षतिग्रस्त लोहे को बदलने के लिए हर साल भारी मात्रा में पैसा खर्च किया जाता है। इस क्षति को रोकने के लिए क्या कदम उठाए जा सकते हैं।

3) पारा तरल अवस्था में पाई जाने वाली एक मात्र धातु है। तापमान को मापने के लिए इसका उपयोग बड़े पैमाने पर थर्मामीटर में किया जाता है। लेकिन पारा बहुत ही खतरनाक धातु है क्योंकि इसका घनत्व बहुत अधिक होता है। पारा युक्त उपकरणों को संभालते समय आप कौन सी दो सावधानियां बरतेंगे?

a) 1 इंच एवं 2 इंच व्यास तथा 6 इंच लंबाई के दो बेलनाकार आधार गत्ते से बनाइए । विद्युतरूद्ध तांबे के तार को सटा सटा कर लपेटते हुए गत्ते के आधारों पर कुण्डलिया बनाइए । 50,100,200 फेरो के बाद सिरे निकालिए! उपयुक्त दूरी पर एक चुम्बकीय सुई रखिए ! पहली कुंडली लीजिए। इसके 50 फेरों के बीच बैटरी जोड़िए और चुम्बकीय सुई का विक्षेप नोट कीजिए। 100 फेरो, 200 फेरों आदि के साथ प्रयोग दोहराइए दूसरी कुंडली लेकर प्रयोग दोहराइए । अब 6 इंच लंबी कीलों को कुंडली में भरिए और प्रयोग दोहराइए !

अब निम्नलिखित प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए:

• विद्युत चुंबक की शक्ति पर इसमें फेरों की संख्या बढ़ाने का क्या प्रभाव होता है ?

Instructions to Upload NIOS Tutor Marked Assignments (TMA) Assignment PDF Online Steps-

1 – Uploading of TMA will be available only as per the TMA uploading schedule mentioned by NIOS for each session.

2 – Submitting/Uploading TMA is applicable only for the learners/students of Stream 1

3 – TMA(s) can be uploaded only for the subject for which the learner/student is registered in NIOS. TMA(s) of subjects selected for Transfer of Credit (ToC) can’t be uploaded.

4 – Once the due date for submitting/uploading TMA is over, Learner/student will be able to upload the TMA only after paying the TMA late fee online through the Student Portal.

5 – Before uploading the TMA, please ensure that the correct TMA is selected for upload. TMA once submitted cannot be submitted/uploaded again.

6 – TMA status can be seen from the TMA Status on TMA Tile on the Student Dashboard

7 – There are four steps in the process of uploading the TMA(s):
