Now that write on is over, I’m turning my attention to preparing for OCI and mass mailing firms in an attempt to secure pre-OCI interviews and hopefully offers. I’m a little lost as to what types of skills I should be emphasizing in my cover letter.

For my OCI cover letters I talked about experiences during my first year like how my gpa improved or how I am going to be a TA next fall. I think that interviewers will understand that not all law students have a dearth of experience.

I’m looking to apply to a ton of firms in OCI covering the majority of the East Coast (I’m from the South but go to School in the North East so comfortable anywhere on the East Coast). What is the best way to approach writing that many cover letters in a short amount of time?

When writing a cover letter for OCI that will be submitted on symplicity, is it better to put a date on the letter or not? I ask because the dates on my letters are from July.
