Very enlightening book

I'd read this book earlier also, but this rendition by the master, Ben Kingsley has added a new dimension to this book. I loved listening to this audio, and would love to listen to it again. Recommend reading/ listening by all youngsters too, early in their life.

Life changing story

If you really listen to the story it will certainly influence you, your thoughts and life. While listening to it, I felt what a waste I’m doing to myself by being into habits. So I don’t smoke anymore. Drinking too reduced to rarely from regularly! Swami ji has changed my life.. Highly recommend

Amazing experience to the land of spirituality.

I was not aware of kriya yoga and have purchased this book on recommendations of one of my colleague. a truly inspiring autobiography which takes you to a different realm of consciousness. after a point of time you seem to follow Swami Yogananda Paramhansa in his miraculous journey in India and beyond. Another major part is the detailed information that Swamiji have provided of the great Yogis of India and their extraordinary life. A must read.

किसी भी देश की सच्ची संपत्ति संतजन ही होते है  |  ये जिस समय आविर्भूत होते हैं ,  उस समय के जन-समुदाय के लिए उनका जीवन ही सच्चा पथ-प्रदर्शक होता है  |  एक प्रसिद्ध संत तो यहाँ तक कहते हैं कि भगवान के दर्शन से भी अधिक लाभ भगवान के चरित्र सुनने से मिलता है और भगवान के चरित्र सुनने से भी ज्यादा लाभ सच्चे संतों के जीवन-चरित्र पढ़ने-सुनने से मिलता है  |  वस्तुतः विश्व के कल्याण के लिए जिस समय जिस धर्म की आवश्यकता होती है ,  उसका आदर्श उपस्थित करने के लिए भगवान ही तत्कालीन संतों के रूप में नित्य-अवतार लेकर आविर्भूत होते है  |  वर्तमान युग में यह दैवी कार्य जिन संतों द्वारा हो रहा है ,  उनमें एक लोकलाडीले संत हैं अमदावाद के श्रोत्रिय ,  ब्रह्मनिष्ठ योगीराज पूज्यपाद संत श्री आसारामजी महाराज  |

महाराजश्री इतनी ऊँचायी पर अवस्थित हैं कि शब्द उन्हें बाँध नहीं सकते |  जैसे विश्वरूपदर्शन मानव-चक्षु से नहीं हो सकता ,  उसके लिए दिव्य-द्रष्टि चाहिये और जैसे विराट को नापने के लिये वामन का नाप बौना पड़ जाता है वैसे ही पूज्यश्री के विषय में कुछ भी लिखना मध्यान्ह्य के देदीप्यमान सूर्य को दीया दिखाने जैसा ही होगा  |  फ़िर भी अंतर में श्रद्धा ,  प्रेम व साहस जुटाकर गुह्य ब्रह्मविद्या के इन मूर्तिमंत स्वरूप की जीवन-झाँकी प्रस्तुत करने का हम एक विनम्र प्रयास कर रहे हैं  |

1.  जन्म परिचय

संत श्री आसारामजी महाराज का जन्म सिंध प्रान्त के नवाबशाह जिले में सिंधु नदी के तट पर बसे बेराणी गाँव में नगरसेठ श्री थाऊमलजी सिरूमलानी के घर दिनांक  17  अप्रैल  1941  तदनुसार विक्रम संवत  1998 को चैत्रवद षष्ठी के दिन हुआ था  |  आपश्री की पुजनीया माताजी का नाम महँगीबा हैं  |  उस समय नामकरण संस्कार के दौरान आपका नाम आसुमल रखा गया था  |

2.  भविष्यवेत्ताओं की घोषणाएँ :

बाल्याअवस्था से ही आपश्री के चेहरे पर विलक्षण कांति तथा नेत्रों में एक अदभुत तेज था  |  आपकी विलक्षण क्रियाओं को देखकर अनेक लोगों तथा भविष्यवक्ताओं ने यह भविष्यवाणी की थी कि ‘यह बालक पूर्व का अवश्य ही कोई सिद्ध योगीपुरुष हैं ,  जो अपना अधूरा कार्य पूरा करने के लिए ही अवतरित हुआ है  |  निश्चित ही यह एक अत्यधिक महान संत बनेगा…’ और आज अक्षरशः वही भविष्यवाणी सत्य सिद्ध हो रही हैं  |
