‘Crazy as f**k’ Netflix show is being called ‘better’ than Squid Game

Squid Game season two is set to drop in December, but if you're looking for something to get stuck into in the meantime, people are recommending another Netflix show.

And it's not for the faint-hearted, with one person calling it 'crazy as f**k'.

The Netflix show first aired back in 2020 and has so far had two seasons - so there's plenty to binge watch online.

The first instalment followed the adventures of gamer, Arisu, a Japanese teenager who competes in risky games in order to survive.

Kind of sounds familiar, right?

The sci-fi thriller is based on the manga by Haro Aso and is set in Tokyo.

In the series, Arisu meets Usagi, a woman who is also trying to progress through the games alone.

They decide to work together - but it doesn't come without a series of terrifying risks.

After asking for suggestions for shows similar to Squid Game , many recommended Alice in Borderland , with another viewer writing on Twitter: " Alice in Borderland is crazy as f**k it’s almost as good as Squid Games ."

While a second said: "Pleased to announce Alice in Borderland >>>>>>>S quid Games .

"The most adventurous season with twists and turns... loved it."

And a third said: " Alice in Borderland is more brutal!

"There's complete hope for the survivor on Squid Game b ut nothing as such in Alice in Borderland ."

Meanwhile, a fourth commented: " Alice in Borderland is way more interesting than Squid Game ."

And a fifth added: " Alice in Borderland is the better version of Squid Game ."

Earlier this month, it was announced that Squid Game would be getting a season two on 26 December, with director Hwang Dong-hyuk saying it's 'worth the wait'.

“The cast and the crew are truly pouring their hearts and souls into filming the second season,” added executive producer Kim Ji-yeon.

“I hope you stay tuned and root for us!”

Meanwhile, discussing the new season, Netflix added: “Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind.

“Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.”
