Do you struggle with Weight?
The sema trial.
If you are between age 18-55 years and are overweight or have obesity , you may qualify for a clinical trial evaluating a once weekly medication which may help with weight loss. The SEMA trial is confidential, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the study drug ( semaglutide vs. placebo) is provided at no cost to qualifying participants. (Individuals with diabetes are not included in this trial). Compensation is up to $1105.

A second goal of the Stress Research Clinic is to investigate cognitive, neural, and biological factors associated with everyday stress and stress-related chronic diseases. Project LINC
We are looking for research volunteers in the Providence area who recently entered treatment or are seeking treatment for alcohol use and have used cannabis to participate in a paid confidential research study from Brown University.
Project MARS
Project MARS is looking for volunteers ages 21-50. Eligible participants must be current alcohol drinkers and cannabis users to participate in a confidential research study on the effects of cannabis and alcohol at Brown University. Participants will complete in-person study sessions and daily surveys in a phone app.
Teen Decision-making Study (TEDS)
We are recruiting teens ages 14-17 with a range of marijuana use—from none to a lot. To be eligible, teens must have a parent or guardian willing to participate (we do not share substance use information with parents), and must not have braces, permanent retainer, or implanted metal.

Healthy volunteers needed for paid cannabis and alcohol research

Healthy adults age 21–55 are needed to take part in a Johns Hopkins research study. The study will require nine total visits to the lab (located at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center). The study involves two screening visits and seven study sessions, each lasting about 10 hours. In these sessions, participants will eat a brownie that contains cannabis and consume alcohol and then complete various tests to measure different aspects of performance.
Participants who complete the study can earn up to $2,660.

This study is a randomized trial, where each participant will be instructed to consume or avoid cannabis on randomly assigned days during a 14-day monitoring period. The goal of this study is to answer the question: "Does cannabis use increase the frequency of 'early' and abnormal heart beats?"
Cigarettes smokers age 21-50 are needed for a paid research study that includes a screening visit, three study visits with a practice quit attempt, and brain imaging. Participants will be paid up to $645 for study completion.
