The whole day progressed with mixed excitement as well as emotions. As the bell rang, declaring the end of the school day, the school felt like a world of possibilities where the journey was more than textbooks.

The corridor was filled with the echo of students. As I entered the classroom, wearing a mix of curiosity and excitement, my classmates and class teacher welcomed me with a warm smile. After a round of introductions and some warm-up activities, strangers gradually started tuning into potential friends. At lunchtime, the cafeteria was filled with the smell of delicious food. A school is a primary institution where children go to learn new ideas and habits and receive education while making new friends on the journey. I was admitted to the school when I was 5 years old. It was a primary school, and I was really scared to attend it as it was the first time I had to spend a long time without my parents outside the home. On the first day, I woke up early as it was morning school, wore the new uniform, and reached school with my parents. They dropped me off at the Headmistress’s office, from where I was taken to my class. As I entered my class, I saw a few high benches and low benches where other students were sitting on. I sat on the third bench, where I made a friend who later became my best friend. I loved my first day at school and still cherish the memories.

The first day of school is very different for every kid. Some cry, some get excited, and some feel reluctant about the new environment. A long essay should capture these various emotions and feelings in a streamlined manner. Here is an example of writing an essay on the first day at school for class 3.

My Classroom

On my first day at school, I woke up early and dressed in my new uniform. I went to the school premises with my parents. The premises was huge with green lawns and a two-storey-ed building with nine rooms. I went to the Headmistress’s office and was later taken to my classroom by our class teacher. It was a small yet airy room with some benches and a blackboard. I sat on the third bench where another student was seated, who later became my best friend. Our class teacher was very friendly, and we got to introduce ourselves. I learnt a new alphabet and played with my new friends. We were given the school tour on the first day.

We were shown restrooms, a swing area, a dance room, etc. Though I enjoyed my first day, it wasn’t easy to stay so long without my parents. I missed them terribly. My mother packed my favourite snack for lunch, and I missed her badly then. I remember many kids crying and teachers trying to soothe them and pamper them with toffees. We were given some sheets and colours to enjoy colouring. I recall I was given a butterfly to colour. My friend got a crocodile, and I saw another kid colouring a bird. It was such a fantastic activity. Another activity happened that day; we had to tell the teacher the one thing we instantly liked about the school. I said swings, and my friend said colours. It was a memorable day that I cherish even today.

Introduction To Teachers And Friends

Our class teacher introduced us to other teachers, and we were asked to introduce ourselves. Teachers made us sit alphabetically. Luckily my friend’s name also started with S, like me, so we sat together. We played fun Pictionary games. We were asked to perform our hobbies and were given toffees. It was amazing to meet my best friend, who shared the same hobby, dancing with me. The teacher also read a beautiful story to us. I really loved the overall experience.

This essay will help kids to grow their research, persuasion and analytical skills. Essay writing helps improve writing skills, demonstrate your intelligence, gain knowledge in multiple niches, improve critical and analytical abilities, and improve communication skills.

Short Essay on First Day of School in 100 Words

The memories of our school are always precious to us. When we grow up and leave our schools, we still remember those beautiful days. School gifts us with friends, good teachers, studies, manners, and also lots of happiness.

There is no one who does not enjoy going to school. And the best part of school life is the first day of school. As little children, we generally cry when we go to school. We do not understand everything happening there. Our parents take us there. Often we have to give an admission test for that school. But slowly we make new friends and start enjoying our school days.

Short Essay on First Day of School in 200 Words

School gives us one of the best memories of our lives. We will realize this after leaving our school and going for higher education. For a long period of our life, we spend time in our school. So it soon becomes our second home. Perhaps, the most important day in our life is the first day of our school. We get into that building for the first time.

All of us cry when we get into school. It happens because we do not want to leave our parents and house. For the time, school seems to be a different place. There are new people, new teachers, new friends, big classrooms, benches, and chairs. We get a pile of books and copies when we get into our school. But soon we start adjusting. We no longer cry we go to school. We wait to meet our friends. We come across our teachers. They start loving us just like our parents.

We feel home-like when we stay in school. As students, we have to follow rules. That we obediently follow. We enjoy our first school prayers and the assembly. The first day of our school remains like a precious memory. We do not forget that day and enjoy sharing it with everyone.

Short Essay on First Day of School in 400 Words

School gives us the best time of our lives. Everything seems very easy to understand. We learn, study, and also enjoy ourselves in school. School life gifts us with friends, good teachers, and good memories. And the best moment of our lives is the first day of school. Everything seems new and different. Yet it is a treasure of our lives. We can never forget the days of our school, especially the first day.

The first day of school is perhaps the most important. It is not only the beginning of our studies but also the start of a new life. We all remember how on the first day we had cried. We hated going to school back then. We thought someone will take us away from our parents and house. So parents always stay with us on our very first day. We all have to sit for an admission test. We prepare the basics back at home and then give the examination.

All children at the age of three are admitted to primary schools. Once our examination gets over, we get admission into the new school. We feel happiest as we get new school bags, books, copies, and other things. The first journey to school is an exciting one. Holding the hands of our parents, we attend the school.

We cry as the teacher takes us to our classes. But soon we see many little children sitting in the class. And we forget our tears. Soon we start making friends and enjoying the classes together. We share our tiffins and learn the habit of sharing. We come across some new people. We learn to call them teachers. They teach us in our class and we enjoy sitting with our friends and learning the same things.

As the first day comes to an end, we hurry outside to our parents. We feel happy as we share the details of our first class. From that moment onward, we never cry to go to school. But we wait every morning to visit school and meet our friends. The best part of school life is having friends to play with.

Everything remains very soft and innocent. From the first day, the teachers and the school building become very dear to us. So just like the first day, we cry when we leave our school. We all get to go for higher education. We all do our jobs. But throughout our lives, the school remains a great memory. The first day of school is the biggest gift of God.

Narrative Essay on My First Day in School

Narrative essay generator.

Childhood memories are the treasures of our past, vividly painting the innocence, adventures, and joy of our early years. These memories, both sweet and bittersweet, form the mosaic of our identity, influencing who we become. This essay delves into the essence of childhood memories, exploring their impact and significance through a personal journey back in time.

The Magic of Childhood

Childhood: a period of life where every day feels like a new adventure, filled with curiosity and wonder. My childhood was no different. It was a time when the smallest things felt like grand discoveries, from finding a caterpillar in the backyard to the first time I rode a bike without training wheels. These moments, though seemingly small, are monumental in the eyes of a child. They represent growth, learning, and the boundless joy of living.

A Journey Back in Time

One of my most cherished memories takes me back to my grandmother’s house, a quaint cottage nestled in the heart of the countryside. It was a place out of a storybook, surrounded by lush gardens and towering trees that whispered secrets with the wind. My summers there were filled with endless days of exploration, from the crack of dawn until the stars claimed the sky.

The Garden Adventures

The garden was a magical realm where imagination had no bounds. My cousins and I would embark on epic adventures, pretending to be explorers in a mystical land. We built forts out of branches and leaves, declaring them castles of ancient times. The garden was our kingdom, and in it, we were invincible. The laughter and shouts of our play still echo in my mind, a reminder of the carefree joy of youth.

Lessons Learned

Amidst the fun and games, childhood also presented its set of challenges and lessons. I recall a particular rainy day when our garden escapades led to a muddy disaster. Our clothes were stained, and the indoors became a canvas for our muddy footprints. The scolding that followed taught us the importance of responsibility and the consequences of our actions. Yet, even in that moment of admonition, there was love and the gentle guidance towards making better choices.

The Power of Friendship

Childhood is also a time when friendships are formed, bonds that often last a lifetime. I met my best friend under the most unusual circumstances, a mishap during a school play where a missed cue turned into a comedy of errors. Instead of embarrassment, we found laughter and a friendship that stood the test of time. It was through these friendships that I learned the value of trust, support, and the sheer joy of having someone to share life’s moments with.

As the years passed, the innocence of childhood gradually gave way to the responsibilities of adulthood. The endless days of play were replaced by schedules and commitments. Yet, the memories of those carefree days remain, a beacon of light guiding me through life’s challenges. They remind me to find joy in the simple things, to approach life with curiosity, and to cherish the bonds formed in the innocence of childhood.

Childhood memories are more than just moments of the past; they are the foundation upon which we build our future. They teach us lessons, shape our values, and influence our paths. As I reflect on my journey through childhood, I am grateful for the experiences that shaped me, the challenges that strengthened me, and the joy that filled my days. These memories are a precious gift, a reminder of a time of innocence and wonder that continues to inspire and guide me as I navigate the complexities of adulthood.

In the end, our childhood memories are a testament to the beauty of life, a collection of moments that remind us of who we are and where we’ve come from. They are treasures to be cherished, stories to be shared, and lessons to carry with us as we journey through life. For students participating in an essay writing competition, delve deep into your own reservoir of memories, and let the magic of your childhood illuminate your writing. Through your words, you have the power to transport your readers back in time, to relive the wonder, the lessons, and the joy of childhood.

My First Day at School

Essay No. 01

After about two months of summer vacation, our school reopened on the 16th of July, the 15th of July being the Sunday. After a long relaxation of two months inhabits to wake up late in the morning, I got up early in the morning. I took my breakfast and left for school. The school was to open at 9 a.m.

On one hand, I seemed to be quite enthusiastic to be again with my friends whom I really missed during the vacation but on the other, I seemed to be averse to the routine of the school which was not so exhilarating for its disciplined code of attending classes and reading lessons, solving sums and doing laboratory work Still there was something which made this routine somewhat worth doing.

On the way to school, I met my friends. Everyone looked cheerful. As we reached the school gate, we heard the ringing of the call bell. We first buried to our classrooms to keep our bags and then to prayer ground to attend the prayer. At the end of the prayer, our Principal addressed the boys. In his address, the Principal mentioned Wordsworth’s observation, “A twig is bent, so the tree will grow”. In relation to tender and delicate students he said that the minds of students were like photographic plates, whatever impressions are left on them, they retain it. So he advised us to cast the impressions which would include love of the motherland, devotion to duty, regularity, and punctuality. Then at the end of his address, we all went to our classes.

On the first day, we did not have our regular studies. Most of the teachers were busy with new admissions. Moreover, the students were also not in the mood to study. The students were talking about their experiences of the summer vacation. I told them about my visit to Ajanta, Allora, and stay in Nanital for a fortnight. In school, 1 found a large number of changes, broken window panes had been replaced, rooms were whitewashed and the furniture repaired. Everything looked new. The thing which I liked most was the water cooler, which was a great comfort to us in summer.

While we were enjoying gossiping in the class, the bell announced the beginning of the recess period. This year a new canteen was installed in the school. It was run by ‘Students Cooperative Society”. I went to the canteen with my friends. The tea, coffee, cold drinks, and snacks all were available at cheap rates. I had a cold drink and some snacks there. In the meantime, the call bell rang and we all went back to our classes.

After the fifth period, all the students assembled in the hall. The new corners were seated on the stage. At first, the Principal welcomed the new students. Some of them seemed to be very active and smart. They told about their likings and hobbies, which were admirable. In the end, the Principal welcomed the teachers. Soon the function came to an end. returned home with the sweet and happy memories of the day.

Essay No. 02

My first day at school was the beginning of my life. The day was significant for me and my family. My father had been looking forward to this day with great hope as he wanted that I should adjust in my class and rise in life, through hard work and co-operation.

Early that morning there was much stir in the family. My elder brother was particularly happy. That made him look responsible as I was kept under his charge. My father bought candies and we proceeded towards the school.

I was taken to the Principal’s office. The Principal was a big man with heavy, and bushy eyebrows. I almost dreaded him in the beginning. But soon I found that under those bushy eyebrows he had one of the softest pairs of eyes. And he spoke softly. He patted my back and asked me questions. I answered his questions without any feeling of fear. He talked to my father. Then my father took me to another gentleman who I learnt later was my class teacher.

He was tall, lean, and bespectacled. He greeted my father. He stretched his long arm and took me under his arm. He talked politely to me. My -father gave him the packet of candies and requested him to introduce me to the class and distribute the candies among my classmates. My father then took leave of him.

My teacher took me to my class. He told the boys that I was their new classmate. He then distributed the candies my father had given to him.

I was given a seat in the class. It was a new place and soon I started feeling lonely. Nobody in the class was known to me and no one talked to me. By recess time I was almost fed up with my school. I wanted to go home. The bell rang for recess. The boys from all the classes ran out. They flooded the school courtyard. But I stood alone in the crowd of strangers. I still remember how small I was then. Being unable to bear it any longer I began to cry. It was only a few minutes but it seemed ages before in brother arrived there. With him was another boy whose brother was also studying in my class. He brought him and introduced him to me. This was my first acquaintance in school. After the recess, we re-entered the classroom.

My teacher was told how I had cried during recess. He spoke politely to me. I liked him. I liked my new acquaintance also. Soon I felt calm and since that day I had never cried in school.

We went to the Principal. My father had a talk with him. My father filled out the admission form. He admitted me to the sixth standard. Then my father left for his office.

My elder brother was in the 8th grade in the same school. I still remember my first day in school. It was an interesting day for me. I was nine years old at that time.

There were about 3o students in the class. They were in their uniforms. They were reading the first lesson from the English Book. The class teacher was kind. She made me sit in the first row. She introduced me to other boys. Then there was teaching for four periods. The students were nice and friendly.

Essay No. 04

Life is full of new experiences. One of them is going to school for the first time.

A school is a place of learning for a child, where they form new associations and come in contact with other children of their age, who may be of different temperaments or status from each other but are placed equally. It is here that they prepare themselves for their future life. This is the reason it is said that the education received in the school is the foundation of a child’s career.

I remember I was only five when I first went to school. I was very excited. It was a primary school. The experience of the first day at school is still fresh in my mind after all these years.

I was admitted to the K.G. Class. The school was small with eight rooms and there were about twelve or fifteen teachers in total.

My Class Teacher Miss Gupta was a very nice and soft-spoken lady who treated all the children like her own. Since I was a bit nervous in the new environment, she encouraged me to open up with the other students of the class.

In school, I got my first lesson on the alphabet in English and after those other lessons on Hindi and Maths. But the lesson I enjoyed most was the drawing, in which we could play with the colours. I also enjoyed other activities like clay modeling, building things with blocks. I would especially like to mention the fun I had on different types of rides and swings.

My first day at school was full of joy.

Whenever I ponder over my school days, the reflection takes me to a meek quiet boy. A reserve guy with quiet habits, feeling shy of everything. I find him dressed in khaki shorts and a white shirt, a pair of bright shining shoes with white socks. Well combed hair and slightly oiled face may be due to perspiration or nervousness. My father was transferred to Jalandhar from Shimla. The transfer came in the mid-session of the fourth class. I moved quite extensively from corner to corner with my father for admission, but everywhere, the answer was negative. It was after laborious efforts that D.A.V. Public School accepted to accommodate me in the new class.

In the next stage, my father left me at the school gate the next day and asked me, to proceed to my class. He perhaps felt that I was grown up enough to protect my own interest. I was moving towards the stairs with a very heavy and hesitant mind. Nobody was known to me except my class teacher who examined my papers for admission. He was perhaps sitting in the classroom because the morning assembly was already over. He was marking attendance as I stood at the entrance gate of the class. I was told that there were forty students in the class and myself was forty-one. Anyway, very reluctantly I peeped into the room. The teacher saw me and said, “Hello Sunil, so you have come. Come in and take your seat with Suresh on the first bench.” The only student on the desk accommodated me very willingly and provided me a seat with a helping and affectionate hand. Soon we were good friends. We were taught a new topic in the social study by the teacher. He asked some questions from the students which were not answered well. I took the initiative and answered all the questions to the best of my knowledge. The teacher was satisfied and enlisted me among the best ten students in the class.

It was recess time soon after and we all started playing in the central ground. Suresh introduced me to many other students of the class. The bell rang and we rushed to the class. Similar phases of the morning session repeated in the next period of Mathematics and English. The concerned teachers appreciated my capability at studies and this helped me to gain better confidence in myself. Soon the periods were over we were asked to pack up for return. My class teacher guided me to proceed towards the bus. The conductor shook hands with me and welcomed me for a good seat. It was a beautiful and well-provided bus. I reached home in an hour. My mother was waiting for me on the main crossing. She asked me about the school and its teaching staff. I gave all the best appreciation to my teachers and told my mother that I had formed a good number of friends and that I enjoyed the day very nicely. She was happy that my silence and hesitation has ultimately wound up for good. She felt happy that I could fit in well in the new setup and atmosphere.

Many children along with their parents were standing in front of the office.

The Principal serially called out the children and then signed their admission form. I was admitted to the first standard. My class teacher asked me to take a seat in the first row. After two hours we had our recess. We all closed our schoolbags and came out.

My sister was waiting for me outside the classroom. Both of us finished our tiffins. After that, we played for some time and went back to our respective classrooms. Our class teacher told us about the rules and regulations that we need to follow in the school. Then she gave us the list of books, asked us to learn the tables. She also asked me to recite a poem. She congratulated me for reciting it correctly.

The school got over at 12.30 p.m. My sister came to pick me up. She carried me to the main gate where our mother was waiting for us. All three of us took a rickshaw and came back home. I feel very happy and pleased when I remember my first day of school.

Set 2: Essay On My First Day in School 500 Words

School is regarded as a temple of learning. It is also considered as a training institution for future good citizens. Unfortunately, not all children are lucky to go to school. A school is a training ground for the child. The child builds new relations, meets boys and girls of different natures, and forms new thoughts and habits. The right kind of school is of great importance because a school prepares the child for taking up different challenges in life.

My parents had enrolled me in a local school at the age of five. The memory of my first day in school is still fresh in my mind. It was a big school. It had six floors. There were thirty classes in my school. In all, there were thirty-three teachers and four sirs. There was a separate room for the Principal. He was a very strict person. The school had a compound where we played during thirty minutes recess. There was a big ground behind the school. However, we were not allowed to go there.

One day my parents took me to the Principal’s room and got me admitted to the school. I was very afraid of seeing the big white beard of the Principal. He asked me my name, my age, and some other small questions. I answered them nervously. Later after having some talks with my parents, he gave me a small packet of candies and asked me to distribute them among my classmates after school reopened next month.

In the next twenty days, the school reopened. As it was my very first day, I went crying to the school. I felt very bad leaving my parents. I entered the class and sat on the first bench. My class teacher entered the class. She seemed very kind. She treated me very well. In the beginning, I felt a bit nervous in the new atmosphere. Children looked at me surprisingly and smiled. Set 12: essay on my first day in school.

My first day at school is a memorable one. I saw boys go to school and I also felt a keen desire to be among them. One day, when I was hardly seven, my father took me to the school in a neighbouring village at a distance of a kilometre and half from my own. It was a small primary school. There were two teachers, the head teacher and his assistant.

We went straight to the head teacher, as he was already known to my father. The head teacher scanned me from head to foot and remarked that I seemed to be intelligent and promising. My father offered him the sweets that we had brought with us. The sweets were distributed among the students of the school and I was admitted to the first infant class. My father left and I was sent to the assistant teacher.

The assistant teacher was a bug-bear for me. He carried in his hand a big cane. He now beats one boy most mercilessly and then another. I trembled with fear in my shoes. My blood curdled cold in my veins. I cursed my stars. At last, the teacher turned his attention towards me. He taught me the first few letters of the Urdu alphabet and asked me to memorise them. On a gloomy afternoon, with an aching heart, I was cramming the first few letters of the Urdu alphabet. What on earth did they mean? What was their sense? It all seemed absolute rigmarole to me. However, there was one thing I could always do; I could learn by heart. In due course, the teacher returned.

“Have you learned it?” he asked. “I think I can say it, Sir,” I replied. I gabbled it off. He seemed to be satisfied with it. My fears were a bit allayed. I hated the school. What a life of anxiety at the school! I wept in my heart at the loss of my freedom. I yearned for my mother’s kisses, love and tenderness. I badly missed the cakes and biscuits. I badly missed my friends. I was deprived of my games and pranks. I lost all smiles and joy. I counted the minutes and hours to the end of the daily round of school.

200 During the recess period, all my class fellows crowded around me. One pulled my ear, another my shirt and the third pulled my hair. A boy knocked me to the gro ground. I received bruises on my knees and elbows. I could not help crying.

At 4 o’clock, the last bell rang. I made for home along with my village fellows. I told everything to my mother. I wept but she consoled me and advised me to bear it all. My fears were not dispelled. But there was no way out of it. I must go to school and face the teacher’s rod.

School is regarded as a temple of learning. It is also considered as a training institution for future good citizens. Unfortunately, not all children are lucky to go to school. A school is a training ground for the child. The child builds new relations, meets boys and girls of different natures and forms new thoughts and habits. A right kind of school is of great importance because a school prepares the child for taking up different challenges in life.

My parents had enrolled me in a local school at the age of five. The memory of my first day in school is still fresh in my mind. It was a big school. It had six floors. There were thirty classes in my school. In all, there were thirty-three teachers and four sirs. There was a separate room for the principal. He was very strict person. The school had a compound where we played during thirty minutes recess. There was a big ground behind the school. However, we were not allowed to go there. One day my parents took me to the Principal’s room and got me admitted in the school. I was very afraid seeing big white beard of the Principal. He asked me my name, my age and some other small questions. I answered them nervously. Later after having some talks with my parents, he gave me a small packet of candies and asked me to distribute them among my classmates after school reopened next month.

In next twenty days, school reopened. As it was my very first day, I went crying to the school. I felt very bad leaving my parents. I entered the class and sat on the first bench. My class teacher entered in the class. She seemed very kind. She treated me very well. In the beginning, I felt a bit nervous in the new atmosphere. Children looked at me surprisingly and smiled. May be because I was little fat and tall than them. That day I got my first lesson in English alphabets and Maths digits.

The bell for recess rang. Children rushed out of the classroom. Some of them gathered around me as if they were watching some strange creature. They started laughing at me and made fun of me. I felt very bad. However, a few children felt sad for the trouble caused to me by other children in the class. Some came forward to support me. This was something very new for me. The final bell rangat two o’clock in the afternoon. All the children were overjoyed. Even I was happy that the first day got ended. I picked up my bag and water bottle and hurried back to my home.

The memory of my first day at school is still bright in my heart. I was 6 years old then. When my father told me that I would start going to school, I was very excited and nervous. What a place for school, how others would treat me on my first day at school, I wondered. The next morning my mother woke me up in the morning. Wearing new clothes, I started going to school holding my father’s hand. Dad first took me to the school’s headmaster’s room. He smiled and asked my name. Then he called the class teacher and sent me to my class. I was surprised to see children my age filling the room. They embraced me with love, everyone became my friend in a few days. They were my classmates, playmates too. I played a lot on the school field. I still think I can recognize every grain of sand in that field. I will never forget the memory of my first day at school.

I was five years old at that time, and felt very excited on the way to school. My father introduced me to my class teacher who was a very kind lady called Miss. Kohli. The moment my father turned to leave me I began to cry. Miss. Kohli very kindly gave me two toffees and took me to the classroom.

We only played games the first day. I mad one or two friends. It was a small school with 10 classrooms. It had a wide green lawn. There was a separate playground for children with swings and see-saws. There were about 15 teachers in all, including the music and arts teachers.

The headmaster was a jolly old fellow who took care to make us feel welcome in the school. He gave us all sweets to eat and even played with us for a while.

Though we enjoyed the school, we were all very happy when the last bell rang and we could go home. My mother had prepared may favorite lunch, and I told my parents all about my first day at school.

My School Essay 500 Words

The place where children as the leaders of tomorrow study and where the future of the nation is shaped are called schools. Education is an essential weapon for tomorrow, so the good schools of today are important for the best future of a nation. Schools are the center of learning where we attend classes on various subjects, interact with the teachers, get our queries

answered, and appeared in exams. In my school, learning is more like a fun activity, because of the extra-talented teaching staff.

My school is a government primary school located on the outskirts of the city. Usually, when people think about a government school, they perceive it to be at an isolated location and have poor basic amenities and teaching facilities. But, despite being a government school, my school defies all such speculations. Teachers of my school are not only knowledgeable about the subjects they teach but also are skilled enough to teach through fun activities. For example, our physics teacher explains every concept by stating real-life examples that we could relate to. This way we not only understand the subject better. Moreover, not a moment I remember, when any teacher had ever replied rudely to any of the students. They always patiently listen and provide answers to all the queries posed to them. Learning at my school is fun and it is made possible only because of the teachers.

My school is very important in my life, in a way even more than my family. My family gives me love, care, and affection, and provides for all my other essential needs. But, all of this isn’t enough to make me a good human being and succeed in life.  Favorably, I am lucky enough to be enrolled in a prestigious school, and gaining a wonderful education, looking forward to realizing my dreams one day. The most necessary for success in life is education, and only my school provides it to me. Without my school and the education that it gives, I would be like a confused and wandering soul, almost aimless in life.

My school helps with my educational and overall personality development. It imparts education through classes, tests, and exams to teach me how to conduct myself confidently. It just feels so great to be in my school and be a part of everyday activities, be it lectures, sports, or Something else. While in school, I always feel happy, confident, enthusiastic, and loved. I make friends at school, those whom I will never forget and will always love them. My family supports my materialistic needs, but school is the place where my actual physical, social, and mental development takes place.  I know that every question that crosses my mind will be answered by my teachers. I also know that my school friends will always be at my side whenever I need them to be. As much as the studies, my school also stresses much on These activities as the management thinks that extracurricular activities are very essential for our overall personality development. My school provides dedicated teachers and staff for each extracurricular activity. We have a big sports ground with kits for all the major sports; a covered auditorium for dance and music and a separate basketball court.

The role my school plays in my personality development is fantastic. It not only imparts education in me but also teaches me how to conduct myself and how to behave decently and properly. I get trained in all the other necessary skills of life, like how to keep calm in challenging situations and help others as well. My school teaches me to be a good and evolved human being, to stay composed and progressive always. It also teaches me to be kind and generous to others and not differentiate them based on their caste, religion, ethnicity, or other divisions. These are some of the most essential personality traits that my school imparts to me, something that I will always be thankful for. Every time I think of my school, I think of it as a temple of education. A temple, where my soul meets education, making my life more meaningful and useful to society and the nation as well. It is a place where my aspirations get a wing and I get the strength and confidence to realize them. No other place in the entire world could replace my school and the role that it plays in my life. I will always be thankful to my friends, teachers, and the staff of my school, for making it such a comfortable and Educational place of learning.

Heart Touching Speech on Independence Day

As we gather here to celebrate the 15th of August, our hearts swell with pride and joy. Independence Day is not just a day on the calendar; it is the day when we remember the sacrifices, the struggles, and the unwavering spirit of those who fought for our freedom.

Seventy-seven years ago, on this very day in 1947, India woke up to a new dawn—a dawn of freedom, self-respect, and dignity. The air was filled with the voices of millions who had long been silenced, and their cries for freedom finally found their echo in the corridors of power.

Our freedom fighters, known and unknown, laid down their lives for a cause greater than themselves. They dreamt of a free India—a nation where every individual would live with dignity, a nation where the chains of oppression would be broken forever. They did not fight for themselves; they fought for us, for the generations to come. Today, as we stand in a free nation, we owe everything to them.

Independence Day is a time for reflection. It is a day to look back at our journey, to honor the courage of those who came before us, and to pledge to uphold the values they held dear. But it is also a day to look forward, to envision the future of our great nation.

Our India is a land of diversity, where people of different religions, languages, and cultures live together in harmony. This unity in diversity is our strength. But we must remember that with freedom comes responsibility. It is up to us to ensure that the ideals of our freedom fighters are upheld, that we continue to work towards a society where every citizen is treated with equality, respect, and justice.

As we celebrate this day, let us not forget the challenges that lie ahead. We must fight against poverty, inequality, and corruption. We must work towards building a nation where every child is educated, every family has access to healthcare, and every individual has the opportunity to live a life of dignity.

On this Independence Day, let us pledge to be responsible citizens. Let us pledge to contribute to the growth and development of our nation. Let us pledge to keep the flame of freedom alive in our hearts and to pass it on to the next generation.

In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” Let us dedicate ourselves to the service of our motherland, to the service of humanity.

As we salute the tricolor today, let us remember that it is not just a flag; it is a symbol of our identity, our pride, and our unity. Let it inspire us to work together, to overcome our differences, and to build a nation that is strong, prosperous, and free.

Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!

Independence Day Speech in Telugu

Independence Day Poems in English for Kids

Short independence day poem 1.

By Bankim Chandra Chatterjee

"Mother, I bow to thee!

Rich with thy hurrying streams,

Bright with thy orchard gleams,

Cool with thy winds of delight,

Dark fields waving, Mother of might,

Mother free......."

Short Independence Day Poem 2

By P Yogananda Tagore

Not where the musk of happiness blows,

Not where darkness and fears never tread;

Not in the homes of perpetual smiles,

Nor in the heaven of a land of prosperity

Would I be born

If I must put on mortal garb once more.

Short Independence Day Poem 3

By Sarojini Naidu

“Is there ought you need that my hands withhold,

Rich gifts of raiment or grain or gold?

Lo ! I have flung to the East and the West

Priceless treasures torn from my breast,

And yielded the sons of my stricken womb

Short Independence Day Poem 4

By Rabindranath Tagore

Where The Mind Is Without Fear

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high

Where knowledge is free

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments

By narrow domestic walls

Where words come out from the depth of truth

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way

Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit

Where the mind is led forward by thee

Into ever-widening thought and action

Short Independence Day Poem 5

By APJ Abdul Kalam

Our’s is a land of sages,

Known for bravery for ages.

None can with it compete,

Its culture none can beat.

Whatever caste or religion,

All live here in unison.

With rivers, sweet fountains,

it’s a land of high mountains.

Its green forests are pretty,

And are the source of prosperity.

Let’s for it work hard,

Short Independence Day Poem 6

By Pragya Sagar, Jagran Josh

In the land of the brave and free,

We celebrate with joy and glee.

With courage and strength, we stand tall,

Together, united, one and all.

We honour those who fought with might,

To keep our land a shining light.

On this day, we sing and cheer,

Freedom's echo is loud and clear.

Our nation's re-birth, let us rejoice,

With laughter, love, and a cheerful voice.

Saffron, white and green, our colours bright,

The light in the darkest night.

Happy Independence Day, hooray!

Short Independence Day Poem 7

On this day, we proudly stand,

A nation strong.

With hearts so free, and spirits high,

We raise our flag up to the sky.

With gratitude, we remember those,

Who fought for us, against colonial foes.

Their courage, their sacrifice we hold,

In stories passed, and tales retold.

From 2-year-old to 80-year-old,

Independence Day Poems in English Sample 1

By Dr John Celes

Awaken Indians! Wake up fast!

India is free tonight, at last!

Our freedom struggle is now off;

’Tis time to breathe afree, smile, laugh.

The Indian tricolor flies high;

Much life was lost; many did die;

Hail freedom-fighters’ sacrifice;

From now onwards, we must be wise.

Our people’s power is at peak;

Just peace and harmony, we seek;

Our differences within should go;

Tryst with Destiny’s on show!

Remember all the leaders great;

Let love replace internal hate;

A billion strong people’s work-force

Is bound to prosper, and on course.

Our Indian leaders deserve praise;

We are a democratic race;

A hefty blood-price, we have paid;

Bharat, our homeland – we have made.

’Tis time to labor and to toil;

We have to burn the mid-night oil;

Our love for country must be prime;

We Indians can make life sublime.

Oh, listen to our Mother’s call!

Let youth remain in dreams quite tall;

United we can stall our foes;

Across the land, our Anthem goes.

Oh, sing aloud, dear Indians now!

Be proud and spread our nation’s love;

We must all strive to live in peace;

But peace cannot be got with ease.

Let Indians give up all divides;

In integrity, heart abides;

Detect the enemies within;

Through perseverance, we can win.

Today, let’s pray for lives all lost;

Our freedom came at heavy cost;

Let’s stay united on this soil;

Let’s share our love and always toil.

Independence Day Poems in English Sample 2

My sleep got disturbed, thrice that day;

I could not sleep tho’ a holiday;

My mind was filled with thoughts unclear;

I got up in the morn, much earlier;

‘Twas India’s Independence Day!

Thunder, lightning filled the night’s Sky;

The day much overcast did fly;

The Rain was just a drizzle that day;

Wetted the ground of mud and clay;

‘Twas 15th of August, a rainy day.

The pea-birds howled and groaned that night;

The Rain made them shiver with fright;

Though ten, it looked like six in the morn;

The Sun behind the clouds had gone;

The Sky ground-glass remained that day.

The leaky tap-waters that fell,

Raised wavelets, ploppy-toned and swell;

Rain-drops on cables looked like pearls;

Dropped, formed again, enticing souls;

It looked it would rain long that day.

Rain-drops hanging beneath fir-twigs;

Glittered in the scarce light like figs;

The whole tree was aglow, alit;

A thing of beauty, don’t miss it!

The Sky looked like a barred-white board!

A frail, brown-skinned, bony human,

With sack on head, bent-back, he ran!

The Indian was agonizing!

Tho’ people keep sermonizing!

Fifty years after Independence!

Independence Day Poems in English Sample 3

The Sun’s Eye - Rabindranath Tagore

When the morning sun rises high, And the world wakes up with a new light, We remember the freedom we’ve won, And the dreams we reach with all our might.

The land we cherish, free and bright, Is a gift of the brave and the true, Who fought and sacrificed their all, For the freedom we enjoy today, new.

Let’s honor their courage and their fight, With our hearts full of pride and cheer, For India’s strength and unity, And the future we hold dear.

Independence Day Poems in English Sample 4

Vande Mataram - Subramania Bharati

I bow to thee, Mother, In whom our people dwell, Thy name is bright as the sun, And sweet as a loving spell.

Our land, so rich and free, In colors so bold and bright, We celebrate your freedom, With joy and honor tonight.

From the mountains high and grand, To the rivers flowing wide, We pledge our hearts and hands, To keep our nation’s pride.

Independence Day Poems in English Sample 5

A Nation’s Dawn - Bipin Chandra Pal

At the break of dawn, so clear and bright, We celebrate our freedom's light, A land reborn from shadows deep, Where dreams and hopes awake from sleep.

From every corner, hearts unite, In joyous songs of freedom's right, Through every trial, every fight, We’ve earned this day of pure delight.

The past’s struggles, the battles won, In the rising of the sun, We find our strength and pride renewed, In the spirit of our nation’s mood.

So let us honor the freedom we share, With every breath, with every prayer, For in this land, so proud and true, The dawn of freedom shines anew.

Caught on the baby monitor: See the moment twins reunited after their first day apart

A baby monitor captured a profoundly beautiful moment between twins.

In the video, 18-month-old sisters Ever and Shiloh, who spent the day apart for the first time in their lives, stand in their cribs holding hands, hugging and giggling in their nursery. The bond between them is palpable: At one point, Ever — she’s the older by 15 minutes — plants a tender kiss on Shiloh’s forehead, followed by a loving pat on the back.

The clip, which was filmed in 2022, recently racked up 30 million views after Ever and Shiloh’s mom, Lauren Berty, shared it on Instagram.

“They were only separated for a few hours,” Berty, host of “ That Twin Mama Podcast ,” tells TODAY.com in an interview.

At the time, the family was doing a nanny share in their Arlington, Virginia, neighborhood and Berty decided to keep Shiloh home by herself because she was feeling sick.

“At the end of the day, when they saw each other, they were excited,” Berty says. The girls were also exhausted — or so Berty thought.

“Suddenly my husband I heard laughing on the baby monitor,” Berty recalls. “I look at the screen and there they are, cracking each other up and just having the time of their lives.”

“They very much have their own twin language,” she adds.

Baby twins

Nearly 13,000 people have commented on Berty’s reel.

“My b/g twins are 5 and every time they’re separated (one misses a day of school, or goes to grandma’s for the day, etc) their reunion is like this! I hope it’s like this always!!” one person wrote.

Added another, “My twin baby girls are 27 now. And this is exactly how they used to behave. And they haven’t changed.”

Shiloh and Ever are now 3, and closer than ever. When Shiloh misses a day of preschool, Ever doesn’t know what to do with herself, according to Berty, who has had discussions with their teachers.

“They’re just lost without the other one,” Berty says. “They very much feel the other’s absence in a way that I think that regular siblings don’t.”
