WRF Library

The world research foundation library network is a collection of libraries located around the world..

The main portion of WRF’s own holdings is located in a private library in Sedona, Arizona.

Important note:

Library visitation is by invitation or appointment only. Please call us at (928) 284-3300 for more information.

The library’s atmosphere is very conducive to quiet reading or research. Visitors are overwhelmed with the beautiful furnishings and artwork.

Description

Amidst statues and magnificent works of art, one will find books representing virtually all of the major philosophical schools. In addition, there are several unique collections, including:

• direct copies of 17th century books on alchemy
• the complete journals and notebooks of Ralph Waldo Emerson
• the collected writings of Blavatsky
• the Dial Magazine of the Transcendentalists
• a direct copy of the 1590 edition of the collected works of Paracelsus
• the complete lectures of Manly Hall dating back to the 1930’s
• the collected works of Dinshah Ghadiali from the 1920’s
• …and much more.

In addition, the library features books dating back to the 1800’s in virtually all health regimes. This health section is indexed in two ways. Visitors can go to shelves labeled with specific health topics and find holistic, alternative, complementary and non-traditional therapies from around the world that have been used for particular problems. Specific shelves also contain books on particular therapeutic techniques. For example, there are over 300 books on color therapy , over 250 books on homeopathy , more than 150 books on acupuncture , and several thousand books on general health , herbs , natural vitamins, minerals, etc.

Steven A. Ross, Ph.D.

Steven A. Ross, Ph.D., is co-founder and CEO of the World Research Foundation. For more than 45 years he has researched and lectured around the globe in all areas of health, philosophy, spirituality, and subtle energy subjects. He has delivered more than 250 lectures and presentations to various governmental agencies, hospital associations and the public.

Ross has been interviewed on more than 150 radio programs and 15 regional and national television programs. He has been an expert witness for the City of Los Angeles and acted as a consultant for the insurance industry. He is the curator of the World Research Foundation Library consisting of 20,000 books dating to the 1400s.

Co-founder and CEO of the World Research Foundation, Dr. Steven Ross is committed to educating the public on all available medical treatments from across the world.

With over 40 years experience, Ross is an avid believer in providing in-depth health knowledge to the masses. World Research Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since its inception in 1984, the purpose of the Foundation is to locate, gather, codify, evaluate, classify and disseminate information dealing with health and the environment. The Foundation has put together library information packets on more than 325 diseases and illnesses. These packets include information on traditional and non-traditional approaches and therapies for these health challenges. The information has been gathered in an unbiased, neutral and independent manner from medical and health specialists from around the world.

Mainstream medicine has all but ignored holistic modalities. Fortunately, some therapies like nutrition, exercise, and meditation are slowly beginning to see more serious inquiry and conventional medical practitioners are recognizing the benefits. More work is needed, however, which is where you come in. The McGarey Prizes for Integrative Medicine is now offering recognition for holistic practitioners and publicizing the natural health movement. With your support, we can get it off the ground.

How Can You Support the Natural Health Movement?

The World Research Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by LaVerne Boeckmann and Steven Ross in the 1980s. This foundation is in the process of creating two projects that will shift the current medical paradigm into a more holistic way of thinking. The first project involves the awarding of three prizes each year for Integrative Medicine, called the McGarey Prizes for Integrative Medicine . Here’s a basic rundown on the reason these prizes are offered:

• To provide recognition for various aspects of integrative medicine that have been effective, and to support further scientific research into these practices.
• To improve public and professional awareness around holistic modalities, prompting an increase in active public interest.
• To encourage researchers on the forefront of integrative medicine to achieve recognition for their discoveries.

The World Research Foundation Fund is seeking private donations from the health and wellness communities in order to expand research efforts into alternative and integrative practices. The more research goes into natural health, the more credibility our community has. This can result in more sensitive doctor visits, more insurance coverage for natural approaches, and innovations in our healthcare system. With your help, the World Research Foundation Fund will raise the funds required to perform unbiased and fair clinical studies on energy healing and various herbal products.
